Rear axle code

Ok, I read on the FAQ forum and just want to make sure I am correct. I am looking at swapping my 3.00 open rear axle to a LS. I went to the salvage yard and got some axle codes off of doors to see what the truck should have. Is H3J a LS differential with a 4.06 gear ratio? Also here are some others, 13J, 06J, and 08. Is the last letter for front axle? Thanks

I looked at that chart but did not see an H3J, also that chart has 80 and up trucks, with the exception ot the 71. All of the axle codes I have are off of early model, 73-79 trucks

Do a google search. I tried it with H3J and got axle ratio 2.75:1 and the J means that the vehicle has power steering.
