E4OD REBUILD???
I recently bought a 93 f150 with a bad tranny (E4od) had it rebuilt by a (friend) but is not working correctly... I would like to learn to rebuild it myself!! I can rebuild just about anything else. Anyone have any suggestions on web sites for teaching one to rebuild an E4od?? Or how about a "how to" book - manual??? PLEASE HELP!!@)@#)@#)(& !_@_!!!
BTW - eng is 4.9 6cyl w E4od - 1993 F150 - 110K miles on tranny.
Once rebuilt tranny slipped in D until hot.. then shifted fine... Then 4 days after rebuild the darn thing starts Humming and Whistling on the highway 4th and 3rd... I slow down to 40mph and exit and cruise in 2nd... the noise was gone in 1st and 2nd... but then later once i reached a gas station... It would not even move once parked??? I have yanked it out already and trying to get ahlod of the basterd! No metal parts in the pan (and hardly any shavings in the oil) and the converter moves freely still... Anyways, let me know... I would like to do the rebuild myself!
