225 something with the knock sensor?

It is related to your Air injection system I believe it is the diverter that directs air to the head or to the cat.
Thermactor is your Air injection system.
Either check to make sure your knock sensor is plugged in or even working properly. Only problem is someone with a 4.9 or knows more about them than I will have to tell you where the KS is located. Use Fordfuelinjection.com to learn how to test the KS.
Sorry, it's a 1991.
ok, i found the thermactor on fordfuelinjection.com, i must not have looked at the right place before. I'm thinking it is off the smog pump, the second diverter, from what i understand? I will try to find one at the junk yard and swap it out.
They can be purchased brand new, but there are different versions of the diverters. One diverter is 2 in one, another has the muffler built into it, yet another is looks the same for the TAB and TAD. Since it is a 91, the only sensor is if the computer gets a rtn signal from the switch ontop of the motor. I would check to see if they are plugged into the wiring harness, if not it may be just a bad switch.
