OBD 1 Code 10

88 f150 5.0 302 When I pull codes KOEO I get a code 10(?) followed by 11(system passed) I cannot find any reference to a code 10. Anyone know?

Engine running I get "8cyl" (indicating I am testing an 8 cyl) "46" (Thermactor air not bypassed during test) "13" (RPM unable to reach lower test limit) "77" Operator error "52" Power steering pressure switch circuit open

How do I address these codes? How is the thermactor bypassed? Is it the solenoid next to the coil pack? And is it supposed to be bypassed before testing? Is the "13" related to the thermactor not bypassing? Operator error? Should I take this personally? Wheres my error? Thanks

How do you get a zero when pulling codes? Does it not blink and you assume it meant zero?

Is this the one you bought on ebay for $3? If so, I think I found your problem - your code reader is a POS. There are no zeroes in Ford ODB-I codes. Have you tried the paperclip method?

There is nothing wrong with the reader. I called the mfg. and the 10 is the "code reader system passed" it is not a ford code.

correction : Before the computer sends the second group of codes to the code reader, it first sends a "separator code" (code 10) to separate the first group of codes from the second group.

Incorrect. An OBD-I / EEC-IV system from 1988 does not give you specific cylinder faults. The code 10 solution was addressed in posts 5 & 6.
