I left work in East haven at 3:00 to drive home and take a shower. Route 17 was flooded and water was splashing up above the cab of the SD when I had to drive in the water.
Then I had to go to Cheshire and the storm caught up to me again.

I suspect that those who pull over beneath an overpass do so so that they can finally 'see' out their windows and can now settle down as the drumming of the rain on their roof is stopped.
