hey i need new you joints for my front drive line and i want to get quality ones (spicer) but cant find the part number for them does anybody know what it is??? also any tips on doing the u joint change?
I don't know the # but a big hammer and a second set of hands. I used a socket that fit over the shank (the socket would sit on the rim of the u joint the the shank would fit in side) and then I drive the old ones out, don't know if that is much help.
yeah thats what i figured i would have to do just wanted to make sure.....if no one knows the spicer part number do you know if the front and rear joints are the same?? cause i think i might of found a part number 1350(5-178x) but i was told that was for the rear drive line
yeah your right looks like the cap size is the same but the actuall body of the u joint is bigger to reach the larger diameter of the rear drive line maybe .....if i figure it out i will make sure to let everyone know the right spicer numbers so they dont have the same headache.
im looking for the front drive shaft u joints... i been looking into it and 1350 series 5-178x is what i found but then some know it all parts shop on ebay told me i was wrong and those were for the rear and 1330 series 5-213x was for the front.....well i got some 1330/213x u joints and they were way too small looked like half ton
alright well tank you everyone for the help but one last quick question would spicer even make a u joint for the rear since its a sterling 10.5 not a dana?
