I have a friend that has a Holiday Rambler Class C on an Econoline E-350 frame and he says he would like to know hat is available in the way of programmers or chips. He said that the setup was kind of ok for driving, but now that they got a Wrangler to tow behind it,it's really a dog to drive..What's out there ??????

a 6.9 or 7.3 idi is a mechanical engine, no electronics, no programer, how many miles is on the truck? any idea what shape the injectors or injection pump is in?
We don't have no chips ........ we don't need no chipsj/k
The only real power adder for a pre powerstroke ford diesel is a turbocharger. New they range from $1800-$3000 but can be found used for $500 in many cases. Larger free flowing exhaust might get you another 10Hp which is noticable, but nothing will wake up these old diesels like a turbocharger.

chocolate or salsa is fine.....as long as you don't feed it to the truck
Wonder what those chips are selling for though. I got my turbo used for about $200 then added another couple hundred to make the cross over pipe and rear exhaust out of stainless. Ended up being a darn good investment. Almost as good as the 3.08 gears.
