Mine broke I super glued it back together and it works fine. Just becareful with the glue and glue the case not the internals. Cost me under a buck for superglue

Is the filter full when the yellow stop on the spring starts to move towards the red side of the filter minder?

I had to pull the intake tube off to get to the high pressure oil sending unit on the back of the motor, and in the process I dropped the intake and broke the air filter minder. When I went to the dealership I asked them if the part was cheap or should I just jam a bolt in it (kidding of course)? They told me they were cheap and they had a lot of them on the shelf because the old style were prone to breaking. The new one has a plastic collar on it that reinforces where the two parts of the minder come together. Anyway the minder was about 25 bucks. Just my two cents.
