Hey guys, I thought I had all of my electrical problems solved for awhile but they have come back to haunt me. My temp. and oil pressure gauge fluctuate whenever the lights are turned on. And my door buzzer turns on as well whenever the lights are on, if you turn the **** as if you were dimming the gauge lights the buzzer responds to it. It sounds like a ground problem to me. Does anyone have a list of grounds pertaining to the dash and its components?
Hmmm...the seat belt buzzer adjusts with the dimmer? Can't say I've run across this one before. A ground problem is possible, but I don't think it's the case here. I think there is a short with the dash illumination circuit; most likely on the printed circuit board itself. The circuit you're hunting is a blue wire with a red stripe; find where it connects to the circuit and look around the back of your gauge cluster for shorts.
Thanks fmc, turns out that there was 1 ground that had shaken loose back behind the dash, and where it connects to the circuit was pretty corroded. No more buzzer issues either. Thanks.
