i just wondered how many of you have never had to replace there pickup module, i think thats what its called, im talking about the piece inside the distributor thats takes that tool, which i bought years ago. my truck has 155,000 miles and ive never touched it, still starts right up and runs great.

The hall effect sensor inside the distributor is not a common failure, I have only ever removed 1 when converting a distributor from remote TFI to on-board, and that required complete disassembly of the distributor. The TFI module is the only sensor part that can easily be removed but it requires a 5/32 thin wall 1/4 deep socket.
