Got my Downpipe pipe from Tymar

Yesterday finally got the old one out bent the seam after making slits in it for easier bend.
Now I'm really wondering if I cut/trim some of the transmission piece that's triangle in shape if that would help me get it in any easier.
It's just the 3in downpipe 2 piece nicely powdered coated stainless steel.
Any HELP is greatly appreciated.
My first mod n it's kicking my Tail lol
The trans is the ZF5 spd manual.

I found another way to do it just a bit pita is all. But at least I'm not paying out of pocket for someone else to do it.
Might have been done already though lol

Don't worry, my downpipe install is kickin my butt right now too... having trouble getting the old pipe cut. The POS battery powered sawzall doesn't help either.

Once my old pipe is out it should start going better. Mine's an auto so i don't have the transmission tab problem...

Got my DP in... fits really well! I just cut out a chunk of the heat shield underneath near the seam, cut the seam in two places and bent it up as much as I could. Slid right in. Got the bottom half on, tightened everything up. Started it and revved it a little. Very nice throaty sound and it definately spools faster. I'm happy!

My downpipe was a MBRP from Bean's Diesel, but the box it came in said Diamond Eye. Either way I'm happy...

That's awesome I finally got the DP on and started it just to see what it sounded like w/o the second piece pretty quick spool with a short pipe lol.
Then hooked everything else up getting ready to test drive soon. The older pipe was alot heavier too.
Didn't put any heat shield on pipe itself so hopefully don't need one.

I didn't put any exhaust wrap or anything on mine either... don't think it'll be much of a problem. Right now I don't even have exhaust hooked up behind the downpipe. I'm doing a dual setup that I'm making myself. Putting a y-pipe behind the DP to split the exhaust and having it exit in front of both rear wheels.
