Downpipe on order

I just ordered my 52103 downpipe. Anyone that has already changed theirs, are there any snags in changing them out (i.e. do I have to modify the firewall, comes out easier from the bottom or top, wrap it with the old wrap, etc...)?

I wouldnt wrap it, paint maybe, could wrap it if you want but not necessary. Have to bend over the pinch weld between the firewall and floorpan. Pretty sure theres no chance to get it in from the top.

Bending of the seam works best imo with a heavy bar, 2" or so and pry against the head. If you have the engine out you can beat it into submission at will.

Engines isn't coming out. Truck is used to pull my 5th wheel and will be stored soon. I will do it during the fall so I can take my time.
