Thanks subford I took your advice and removed the fpr cut the line and capped it with a penny. It is running better but I need to get a new tank control valve ever since i removed it when the truck sits for a few hours+ it is hard to start.
I have never said anything about removing the FPR and putting a penny in it. You need the FPR if you have any FI engine.
I said something about putting a penny in the EGR tube at the base of the valve for a test.
The line was on was on the bottom of the EGR was cut with a bolt in it sorry I posted wrong. The truck ran fine without it and I have no idea where it went. It had about two feet of pipe on it before I cut it so it didn't change much just sealed it better. This truck has been messed with for sure and I would like to find out what I can get rid of all together to clean it up and make it reliable. emissions etc just alot of crap under the hood. But first things first I need to get it running good.Where does that line go? Or where did it go?

In the diagram I posted above for you it is item "G".
I think it screws into the back of the exhaust manifold on the drivers side (LH).
Do I need to replace that line? I am close to selling this thing. I hate to it runs awesome when it runs. It's just from one thing to the next ughhhh
If the bottom of the EGR valve is pluged then just make sure the hole in the exhaust manifold is plugged also. It should run a little better with both ends plugged.
haven't had time to really spend on the truck lately. i'm going to go through the list this weekend. my buddy said i should try pulling the IAC sensor and flushing it with some brake fluid. does that sound like a good idea or is it more likely to just mess up the sensor?
