Ok I have a 95 F150 xlt 5.0 and I just had it in my local shop recently and the ECM went bad in it. I have a old part number and a new part number. the old part number is this E9AF-14A624-AA and the new part number is this F4TF-12A650-APC. the old part number comes back to many ECM's. are all these compatible with my truck or is there something else Im missinig? If anyone has one thats cheap I would greatly take it off your hands as well. Cant really trust ebay that much for used parts and a new ECM is overwhelmingly priced. Reply back here or email me directly at ssmple847 at gmail dot com. Any and all info is welcome.
The ECM can have many different calibrations and its decided by the catch code. The part number you posted is the Hardware code and and does not necessarily mean its wrong or right. the 2,3 or 4 digit bold written code is usually in the top right hand corner of the label on the connector side of the ECM. There is usually several different catch codes that can work in the same vehicle as long as the layout is the same.
The Program code is HUG2 and the drawing number is # F4TF-12A650-APC.
The salvage yards and the auto part stores go by the drawing number and not the part number. The part number is only used by Ford dealers and is not on any Ford part. The Ford part number would have be like a F4TZ-12A650-?? (note the "Z").
Your CALLABRATION number should be # 4-54E-R10.
I have no idea where you came up with E9AF-14A624-AA as that does not fit any Ford trucks in the 1990's as that is a 1989 drawing number.
You will see that the PCM doesn't necessarily come sold with a year/model combination as a lot of other parts are. You will need to get the engine and tranny combination which should lead you to a strategy number (like A9P or A9L).HUG2 is the strategy number from above you'd want to match if that's what came out of it.
SubFord that is the number I pulled off the ECM that is in the truck. If it is for an 89 model year Im wondering WTF the previous owner was thinking putting it in there to begin with. Now is there away to pull what mine should be by running my VIN with a local Ford dealer? If so that will get me more on the right path including with the info yall have given me so far. I didnt think trying to find a ECM would be this much work but I've been on this for 4 days now and no luck. Also the truck like i said is a 5.0 and has a E40D pushing it. Oh and there is an ETC in parenthesis on it as well does thaat have anything to do with it?
You say it has an E4OD in it. Are you sure about that as most 1995 F150 had the 4R70W transmissions in them.
If it has the E4OD then all of the above numbers are wrong.
You need to go to the drivers door post and post the Calibration number here and we will look up the right computer number for it.
The Calibration number in the example below is # 4-54E-R10.
With a calibration number of 4-54E-R10 then you have or it came out with a 4R70W transmission and not a E4OD.
The catch code (program code) would be as said above is HUG2.
The number every body goes by would be F4TF-12A650-APC.
A lot of the sites on the net drop the 12A650 so they would list it as F4TF-APC.
This is a very popular PCM Computer and there are a lot of them out there, mostly in the 1995 5.0L F150 with a 4R70W transmission.
This is the same one I have in my truck and I have two spares for it but have not needed them yet.
Ok so which tranny do I have then? And thanks rla2005 for the heads up, I was already hunting some down, and those seem like they will do. just to wait till payday.

ok I got a ECM coming in the mail now. Picked it up for less then $40 used and working. And yes I read the post subford, but wasn't sure what you were stating in your reply. But thanks everyone for your help with this.
With a calibration number of 4-54E-R10 "then you have or it came out" with a 4R70W transmission and not a E4OD

Reason: More info
Hello all, This is my first post. I bought a 1991 F150 with a 4.9L E4OD Transmission. It has a Calibration code of 1-52H-R00. I have already searched through your posted list of Codes. I couldn't find this one. The ECM that was in the truck was the wrong one. I would greatly appreciate it if someone could help e out.
