I think you'll find your answers here. TN is a Merc M-7, 81 is a conventional cab, B is the deluxe cab called a "5 Star Extra", H is left hand drive, 51 is 1951, 5005 is the unique serial number. Stu

thank you again... the other number quoted by the seller as the VIN is
7E 9Q 5005-B

Looking for info on the transmission... E indicates 239 cu in
but Q indicates 337 cu in - which makes more sense being a mercury

5005 is consistent with the other Serial number
The pics show it as yellow.. which is consistent with the 51 (but that's also the year)

not sure if i'm more or less confused... but at least it's more info to go on

The engine should be a 337, assuming Canadian specs are the same as US. The 239 was only used through the F-6. The rest of your number needs input from the experts. Stu
