Ok lets give it go eh, I got a 1997 f250 HD 5.8 v8 351w duel tanks. Ok when my front tank is in use it dumps gas into the rear tank and when the rear tank is in use it dumps gas into the front tank, i have noticed a bit of a drag when i punch the gas from a stop light, it just doesnt haul a** like it used to. I have no check engine light I do regular maintence and i only use mobil 89. This is becomming a danger i forgot to switch tanks to empty one and the front overfilled the rear tank and i lost bout a gal of gas out the back. I changed the filter recently but no change.
Technical Service Bulletin, Ford keeps a data base of common problems so techs can easily access known problems and fix them faster. They should not be confused with recall's that are paid for by Ford, TSB's are not free repairs.
I think you'd have to replace the whole fuel pump unit, the check valve is part of it and that's where the problem is. The check vallve was redesigned I believe....
well that freakin sucks, i priced out 2 pumps totall cost $350 jesus christ. Well i thank you guys for the info and if some how i come up with some solution ill post it lol.

Tell me about it, I have a '92 sitting because it needs 2 pumps and at least 1 tank, might as well replace the other tank while I have it all out.
Ok i just looked at LMCTruck's web site and they list the valve selector separately for $139 which is just nuts $30 more and you have a new pump lol.
I don't think the later models use the selector valve.
On my 91, the 2 fuel lines are connected together with a "Y" shaped fitting. That's the reason for the check valves.
