I have a 2005 F250 4x4 diesel. Was wondering what shocks would be best to use? Was thinking about getting some Edelbrock's but would like some input. The stock Rancho shocks ride like crap. Any ideas?
Your stock shocks aren't Rancho's, they are 'Rancho-branded'. Basically just Ford shocks with a Rancho sticker on them.
Bilstein HD shocks are highly recommended around here. I have them on my truck and they made a big difference over the factory shocks.
There is currently a buy 3 get 1 free promotion on them too. Shockwarehouse (I think they are a FTE site sponsor) and eshocks.com are both good places to buy them from.
I had Edelbrock on my 04. I was not that impressed. Could not really tell the difference from the stock shocks. My stock shocks had less then 30k on them.

I used Billstein shocks with their coils etc from their 2-1/4 levelling kit and the truck handles like great... like night and day!
Has anyone tried the Fox hydraulic bump stops in conjunction with the Fox shock upgrades? I have the Fox 2.0 in the mail and the Fox 2.5 ATS steering stabilizer en route as well. Debated on bump stops just to keep it all the same at the same time. This video actually caused me to question if replacing the factory ones would be beneficial.
