My truck has rancho shocks and it has 47,xxx miles on it and they are fine. I don't think shocks have a mileage limit like other things do.

I changed out my shocks at 101k on the clock...it all depends on your daily driving and how much you actually use them. If you do a lot of highway surfing I'm sure you have a few miles left on them...

I hear that the Monroe shocks are pretty soft on the road...any off-roading?

Shocks or struts are recommended at 50,000 miles. Depending what you use your truck for monroe sensa trac or monroe reflex is what i would recommend. There is also the Rancho shocks, they are going to be a lot firmer of a ride but they work great for haulers or off roaders

I occassionally go off road when i go to the fox pens, or at work. I have the stock shocks on there now and it was bumpy as heck, So which ones should i go with? How hard is it to change the front shocks?

I have a 05' 5.4 RWD 4dr Lareit with 108 on it and I am now changing my shocks to the Monroe Sensa Trac shocks and struts. I had a 98' 4.6 RWD 4dr truck and I used the Monroe shocks and struts and were veery happy with them so I am going back.

the front is actually a strut assembly. i would not try to do this yourself if you are not familar with this...you have to compress the spring...i would recommend taking it to a shop that does this. The rear has shocks thats a pretty easy swap...
