I live in Iowa, so there are lots of stations that sell biodiesel. I read the first 30 pages of posts, and read the study on additives and biodiesel. This is my first diesel, so I don't know much. Should I fill up at the biodiesel stations or just get regular diesel and add the Opti-Lube stuff? Thanks for your help...don't want to screw up my motor!!

Either way you won't "screw-up" the motor. WHen it comes to additives everyone has the favorites. I stick to B20 if I am running Bio, and if I am using #2, I use Bio as an additive. Play around with it and see what you think. The Bio has better lubricity than ULSD and definitely helps to quite your engine a little.
I used to run bio when I could, but I prefer dino with additives now. Better performance IMHO. I do run bio every now & then just for something different, but never more than B20. I got beat by a damn Nissan running B100 one time. That ain't happening again. The only way I'd run it full-time is if they made it cheaper like they do with E85...
Thanks for all the advice, guys...very helpful. I think I'll try a few tanks of B20 and see how it does, then try some dino with additives to see how that goes. Maybe I'll just keep doing both!!
