I have owned my truck now for almost a month and have about 300 miles on it. I read where they don't suggest any oil additives until after the engine is broken in but I am curious when can I start to use stanadyne performance formula in the fuel? The local farm service station who has diesel informed me that come the first of July the diesel fuel will be very low sulfer and suggested I either use and additive or run biodiesel. Any suggestions.
I started to run both, got a case of the Stanadyne one shot and 5 gal of b100 biodiesel and mix right in the tank to get b3( 1gal off bio to 30 gal of diesel) so far no problems. hopefuly my fuel mileage will get better than 14 mpg ( but i have a hard keeping my foot off the throttle). hope this helps.
