ZF t case options
Just wondering if I have any other options on a T-case for my ZF tranny it has a BW 1356 and I was wondering if a Dana 20 or 300 would bolt to it to get rid of the slip yoke and maybe help shorten the drive line. Thanks Chris
I already have this set up in my YJ but I was trying to shorten the drive train up due to a short rear driveshaft. The drive train now including the 5.0L is just about 6 feet. I have a 3 inch suspension lift now and was planning to go to a spring over but the T case (1356) has a slip yoke and no way to put a CV on it and if I wasnt able to adapt a 20 or 300 to the tranny I cannot do it uless there is a conversion for the 1356. I have a tranfercase dropped crossmember to keep the angles some what acceptable now and would prefer to raise that back up out of harms way.

Do a search on Google.com for transfer case adapters. It will lead you to http://www.advanceadapters.com Click under "new Products" or something similar and it will take you to:http://www.advanceadapters.com/product/product.html There you will read:
Ford ZF Transfer Case Adapters
Advance Adapters has Recently developed a couple of new transfer case adapters for use with the Ford ZF 5 speed transmission. The two new adapters include Dana 300, and Atlas applications along with a Bronco Dana 20 application,
It doesn't sound like a ZF will bolt right up to the Dana 20 or 300, but the adapter doesn't look like it will add much length to the driveline. I gave you the links as there is alot of neat stuff along the way.
Your welcome,
Tony
