Transmission Year?
Hi; Can anyone tell me what year my C6 Tranny is by casting numbers and where to look. It is not the oringinal trans and I would like to know what year it is if possible.

[updated:LAST EDITED ON 13-Jan-02 AT 00:16 AM (EST)]I'd drop the pan and read the numbers on the valve body. First letter = decade (C=1960, D=1970, E=1980, etc), and second digit is last digit of year. For example E5-- is a 1985 part number.
Keep in mind different year parts can get mixed together at a rebuild.
