Swap to a 4.10 gear ratio. I did when I had OE sized tires. I was the fastest thing in the world in the low end.

Do the gear swap, that's the biggest thing you can do with the EFI 300.

I'm curious about the shift kit, too. I'd like to have one installed on mine when finally pukes. I would like to be able to chirp the tires going into second.

x2

mild cam, bore it out, back cut the valves, port/polish the head, long tube headers, custom mandrel bent exhaust, good air filter, 4.10 gearing (depending on what you use this beast for that might not be a great idea), electric fan, SUPERCHARGER (im with torino on this one...that would be freaking sweet and once we figure it all out and i got the extra cash i want one!).....you could do all this for starters

as for tranny upgrades you can find anything for them but a manual gearbox will improve your torque by up to 20% alone but thats a bit more involved

there are really A LOT of upgrades easily available for the inlines people just dont venture there much...

Will this make me be able to chirp the tires going into second? I want very firm shifts.

Thanks OP!
