I hate to just jump in here outta nowhere but I have heard great things about the demon jr. series and might be worth looking into.

Yes, it does get VERY cold here in the winter (known to hit -30 or lower). So if the airgap won't work, what would you recommend instead?

I'm in a similar climate and am happy with the Edelbrock Performer with Holley
Truck Avenger 670 on my 400.
