First gauge with ring painted black. Million times better...
I am thinking that I'll paint a red line down the needle now, just to add a little more pop.

I don't mind sharing (for free) as long as you're not going to run out and commercially produce this. Unless of course you have the means to do so and are going to cut me in. Then maybe we could work a deal.
It is a touch darker (though not as much different as the picture makes it seem - I think that's mostly due to differing levels of gloss), but I think it works pretty well. I'm really happy with the way these came out.
Now if I can just get the dash done so I have somewhere to put them...
Man, that looks really sharp! When you did the needles, you should have put down a first coat of white to make the red pop better. Still looks great though, I like tham a lot!

I have been following along and am very impressed. I would very much like a copy of your file as well. Keep up the great work!!
Well now when a cop pulls you over for speeding and says sir,do you know how fast you where going? You can say,No sir,my speedometer only goes up to 110.
They look great! Keep up the work!
I agree. For the needles: paint white, then the red for a bright look. Also, I favor a flat red instead of glossy.
I'm swapping the factory gauges into custom pods right now, and I painted the needles red with a Sharpie (they had faded to white). The sharpie actually looks good. If it wears off over time, I'll touch it up.
Oh yeah, I'd also like to say good job on the updates of progress. You've done such a good job that anyone should be able to reproduce your work from the pictures alone. I wouldn't even need the plans!
You're moving along at a good pace (I wish I were). Nice!
