computer help needed
one of the kids decided to "help me" Sunday, and turned on windows update manager, turned off Norton antivirus and downloaded agv free, and then upgraded internet explorer to version 8.0.
i managed to delete and erase almost all of the upgrades, got rid of the aim and aol crap, got rid of the agv, got the Norton turned back on,and deleted and erased all the windows service packs and everything else.
the only thing i haven't had any luck with is getting rid of IE 8.0, and windows media player newest version.
is there any way to dump the IE8.0 and get back to version 6.0 or 7.0, and the new media player for the older versions without reformatting the hard drive??
i don't take well to change, and there is way too much crap in these new versions for my tastes. and besides that, my computer will not work with IE-8, and i don't care for firefox.
there are some sites i go to that only display in black screen with firefox, and i cant see when it is black screen with white letters. 30 seconds of looking at that gives me a migraine, and my vision gets all screwed up.
