I am looking to put a AOD transmission into my 1981 Bronco, the one thing I need to know is if my NP205 Transfer Case will connect to the transmission. If not what transfer Case must I use? I want to get the best milage out of my vehical, out of a 351M motor.
Brandon, Before you start worring to much about that end, do you have an AOD with a bell that will fit a 351M?

I can get a transmission in Denver for $250 its got a 460 Bellhousing, and I will order a after market Torque Converter. The one problem is what transfer cases will connect to this? ('88 F-350 Trany AOD)Is this worth my wild? I've also heard that a e4od will work but you must get a seperate computer controler for not EFI engines. Thanks for your help, I do appreciate any input on the subject.
art carr transmissions makes an adpter plate that will mate the aod to either the 351m-400 or the 460 since they have the same bell housing. it is kind of pricy though. they have a web site if you want to contact them for info.
