Plug is located near cylinder head and is the source of my bad exhaust leak.. Does anyone have any tricks or secrets to get it out... It is already rusted out in middle and I need to get rest out so I can fix it. Thanks
A small pry bar or screwdriver. Just pry it out or if you're feeling daft you could use a hammer and punch to catch and edge and punch it in and then pull it out.
YOu have a choice really, you can tap one end of the plug, and turn it sideways. This will allow you to grab it with some pliers.
The other option will be to use a hacksaw blade to cut a relief in the plug, then you can tap it right out.
With a hole already in it, you should be able to pry that right out.
That's a threaded plug, not a press in freeze plug. Used an easy out to remove it. If you don't have on, drill it out and retap the threads for a new plug. Be sure to use a pipe tap and not a standard tap.

Yeah definitely not a threaded plug but thanks for the input.. It was stuck in there like a son of a b****... We ended up using hacksaw blade to notch and weaken it and then pounded it through with a seal setter.. No shop around town had a cup 11/16 plug so we stuck in a concave until it the cup gets here on Thursday.. Thanks everybody for the help.
