C6 GVW Capacity

I wonder what one can handle in a towing application with decent life and reliability? Assuming it is build for the purpose with good cooler and 300-350 HP in front of it.

It would depend on the build, Gearing and weight of the tow vehicle itself. Much more then any 1 ton could safely pull.

The gearing would be 4.10 with 31" tire.

I wonder what experience has been running a C6 heavy.

Dad's 77 F150 4x4 went through three engines and 140,000 miles with the original C6... pulling trailers quite a bit and generally abused in its late life.

Father in law's 76 F150 4x4 went through two engines, also pulling trailers with the original C6...

Rest assured, the C6 when maintained will handle whatever a pickup can safely pull.
