Has anyone here stacked an Edge Juice with monitor over a SCT. If so have you had any problems with the torque converter going in and out of lockup? Edge says its not them because the Juice doesn't have trans settings which I knew but it only does it when their tuner is on anything but 0.
Agreed. Just get a custom tune for the SCT and you'll be good to go.
I second the motion!
Either get an SCT with custom tunes or Get yourself a DP-Tuner. Anything else and you'e just asking for trouble. Especially with something that doesn't do much for your transmission....
I appreciate the concern but still would like to know if anyone out there has stacked tuners. The reason I bought the Edge was that it was stackable and wanted the low-end power that it provides with the low boost fueling setting. If I bought a custom tune then I'm stuck with it and if I want to change something then I have to pay for it over and over.

I actually had a buddy of mine that stacked a Superchips Flashpaq and a Quadzilla chip '05 F250. It worked well and gave his truck an insane amount of power througout the power band. It made me jealous and made me want to do the same....However, he had to get rid of it because his head gaskets and EGR cooler were starting to blow and he didn't want to deal with a near $10K repair bill from Ford.
I was tempted to stack my SCT with a DP-Tuner, but after seeing what stacking did to his truck, I'll just get a custom chip burned. If it doesn't quite fit the bill, send the person who tuned the chip back to the drawing board.
You can always sell your chip or tuner and put the money towards a good custom chip. (it's what I'm doing, check out the classifieds) But IMO, it's not worth your engine to stack chips and tuners.
The DP-Tuner has mutiple settings, up to 16 the the F6 controller. I think that would be plenty of choices. But if you are looking to go for insane power with injectors/big oil ect, then you may have to get the tunes reburned, otherwise the tunes you buy should be enough.

I did the stacked thing for a while. I cannot recommend it. I am now running a DP Tuner. Call Jody at DP Tuner or Clay at Riffraff Diesel performance. Tell them what your needs and wants are and they will set you up.
Both are FTE sponsors by the way. Keep it in house.
