Tuner / Programer

I am looking at buying a tuner for my 06 F-250. Anybody have any suggestions? The three I am looking at are the PPE, Bully Dog Tripple Pup with outlook monitor, or the Edge Platinum Juice with Attitude monitor. Thanks!

What engine? There is plenty of information on tuners in the engine specific forums. Just do a search in that specific forum for "tuner" and you'll find days if not weeks worth of reading.

I guess it's a diesel? If so you will need to look at the sct.

Head over to the 6.0l section.

I'm sure they will steer you away from all the tuners you listed and say get the SCT.

SCT is the best hands down.

SCT is the only way to go on a 6.0L Ford. It will outperform all others because of it's custom tunability. Bullydog, Banks, EDGE are fuel boxes and are known to cause issues with this motor.

I think I am pretty much sold on the SCT but what do you mean by custom tunability? Isnt that the idea of any tuner is to be able to customize it to your driving habits?

This is a programmer, not a fuel box:

bully dog is NOT a fuel box just for your info it does fuel and air maps. 6.0l have problems rather they are stock or have a programmer on them

i wouldn't put a bull dog on my truck if you paid me! I was talking to a few gents a few weeks ago and the both had bully dog programers and what do you know, they also had head studs soon after that! not saying that is what caused it but i know the only thing thats ever going on my truck is an sct!... from matt

OK--my mistake. Can it be custom programmed like the SCT or are we stuck with what Bullydog wants us to have?

This is gonna be good. I had the six gun in my truck and just recently switched to an SCT and all I can say is WOW. Its like a night and day difference. I liked how my six gun was and all but it just didn't like shifting on levels 6 and 7, it would get to redline and just sit there. Not only does the SCT improve that greatly but it will run rings around a six gun.
