Exclamation I'm new please answer!! =)

I personly do not own a ford truck but my father does. I want to start buying performance parts for my father's truck as gifts.

The firts part i was looking at was a helix throttle body spacer for the 06 4.6L V8 F-150. The site says "up to 22 hp gains" but i know not to trust what ads say so i was wondering if anybody had this item on this truck or could give me a educated guestimate on the hp/tq gains from this piece, im not looking for anything crazy just somthing youll be able to feel alittle and maybe give some extra power and throttle response.

Thank you for your time
Dustin

I wouldn't waste your time on Throttle spacers. I personally would go with a CAI "cold air intake" by volant there are others but that is the most common i see.

Save your $$ for a programmer.I doubt you would see any gains from a tb spacer.

Throttle Body spacer = Paper weight

They work in Carbuerated motors. That is because the of the added height they put the Carb above the intake ports. Basically a cheap alternative to a good High Rise Intake...gives the air/fuel more time to mix prior to entry

In EFI motors...pure crap. Just add some noise. Especially in setups like Ford with Direct"ish" injection. The injectors are about 1" from the intake valves. So the "High Rise" affect is worthless

ggwash has it...

a TB spacer won't usually give fruitful results by itself. Usually when people have any real gains with a TB spacer, they have a CAI, tuner and some other add-ons to asst.

I have a Power Aid Throttle body spacer, the edge evo, and a Airaid intake. The TB spacer was the last one i put on and all i noticed was 1.5 to 2 mpg gain and a whistle noise. I like the increase in mpg i'll take all i can get.
