Heatshield Question..

Hey everybody,
I'm still putting the 4.9 liter straight 6 back together in my '87 f 150 after the head gasket change...its been awhile and I tried to label everything but sadly Ive gotten to the point where I don't remember which way this piece goes in... I looks like it just sits in there somehow...there were no fasteners...at least I don't think it was attached with any thing. Its not in my manuals...so in other words, help!

i think it goes on top of the fuel injectors but maybe it goes between the exhaust manifold and intake?

But I just don't know where it goes...I completely forgot! Anyone know?

Here' a couple shots in progress...

If any one knows and could tell me where this heatsheild (?) goes I would really appreciate the help...thanks again!

The heat shield goes below the lower intake manifold. The bottom of the heat shield sits on the tubes of the exhaust manifolds.

The shield is held on by to push on clips. One clip is between intake tube 1 and 2.
The other clip is between intake tubes 4 and 5.

Well the heat shield slipped in there real nice...thanks for the help...I'd love to see more pictures of your 4.9 engines...complete and under the hood or in progress, I could use some visual clues as to how to make it look as good as I can...thanks again!
