Steering Stabilizer Trouble...

Well I got my Rough Country Dual Steering Stab. Kit in today and put it on after work(2:00 am), it looks awesome.

However I went to remove the stock stab and ran into a problem... I got the shaft end removed but couldnt get the eyelet end removed, I soaked it with WD-40 and pounded the hell outta the stud with a B.F. Hammer, it wouldnt budge!

I even heated the link and used a c-clamp to try and press it out, still wouldnt move... finally (at 4:00 am)I got pissed off and just bolted it back up.

Any tips? I really dont want to leave it on there.

My tip...leave it on. Does not do any harm with it there. Mine is there and if anything It may assist..Doesn't effect or get in the way.

yeah, i dont feel like messing with it anymore trying to take it off. the steering is sooo much nicer now with the dual setup on, no more wondering. the stock one is shot I can compress it very easily with one hand, thats the 2nd stock one ive had on the truck. its like half the size of the RC ones lol.

I had the same problem. I didn't wan't to risk damaging the stearing link so i left it. I figured regardless of how usless it is it might provide additional dampning on the arm itself. I also thought after installing my Nitto's it might add additional effort to the steering which i didn't want but it isn't really noticable.
