I will never believe much of anything from CNN. They are to pro Obama and just about hinge on anything he has to say. Also those are the very same people that were saying GM would not go into banktruptcy. Also what that article fails to mention is the supplier network for GM and Chrysler. And also where their money is coming from. Suppliers are going to be a little gunshy about dealing with both GM and Chrysler considering they have already gone thru bankruptcy. Both had already been put on a COD by some suppliers, I wonder if that trend will continue. Sure Ford had mortgaged there assest when credit was good, but look at what they have come out with or are going to be coming out with. Much of their vehicles get 20+ MPG's, they are reopening the Cleveland engine plant to make diesel engines, and they are also making the direct injection engines that are supposed to get near 40 MPG. Also look at the new Taurus coming out soon
Well hopefully Ford can maintain themselves without any support in a post credit bubble declining economy for the next several years. Also I suspect some in Washington want Ford under their thumb, it certainly would fit in with the presidents agenda.
