speed governor

good afternoon gentleman/ladies,I have fleet of f450's with 6.4l diesal.I need to put speed limiters/governors rated at 105km's/hr, I have been told that ford cannot program the pcm on the f450's with 6.4l.Any suggestions on a aftermarket source. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

You would need to get a programmer, most likey someone like spartan. They can remove the limiters.

SCT is a custom tuner company. (Superchips Custom Tuning)

Contact Mike at 5 star. www.5startuning.com He sells SCT products and does custom tuning also. He might be able to cut you a deal since you have a fleet. He has the best service I've run across and he will be able to answer your questions and tell you whats doable.

Senix, I believe he's trying to reduce the top speed to less than 65 MPH...

Sounds to me he's trying to prevent employees from doing dumb things, or simply trying for an insurance reduction.....

I think its a good idea to limit the speed especially if you know the employee will never need to be on a road with a faster speed limit. The speed limit out in front of my house is 55 and the people who i see speeding the most often and the fastest are the guys in the big work trucks. I usually go about 60 and i have these guys in flatbed work trucks pass me like im standing still all the time.

Wow...I am aware of this law you guys have, as I'm a commercial truck driver down here...

What I don't understand is why a little -450 is covered in this law...it's not even in the medium duty range....
