Low ratio planetarys

Hello. Does anyone run the low ratio planetarys in there C6? I've seen them in the magazines but don't know if they are just for racing or if they can be used for an everyday driver. Any pros or cons?

Thanks

Chad

Chad, I'm not running one now but I've run one in a race car and also my 1977 F250 tow vehicle. I'd say its definetly worth the money if you have to rebuild anyway. I was running 3:55 gears in my truck and the low ratio gave me the towing capacity of close to 4:11's in first and second gear. I was going to install a low ratio in my current truck (1989 F250)
but Ford was out of them when I did my rebuild so I bought a used set of 4:11's instead. If your already running 30's or higher I wouldn't get the low ration planetary. Deen
