I need some new tires on my 04 F150 XLT 4x4. The truck is stock, no leveling kits, or lifts. I'm currently running 265/70/17, but I was wondering if I can get away with a 285/70/17 without a leveling kit, and if any of you guys have an opinion on that? Thanks
I'm running Duelers right now in 265/70/17. I've been looking, and they all seem to be around 210-230 dollars. So I guess its more of a preference than a price decision.
im running a 325/60/18 which i beleive is 32.99. I guess as close as you can get to 33 lol. they are nitto terra grapplers they seem pretty good. realy smooth and you really cant beat the price. Dont know how long they last but i plan on getting them again and seeing how long they will go.
a guy i kno has a stock fx4 with 35s , next time i see him i will take a pic and post it......
it can be done.... but will rub when u flex it just a little or hit a bump.
As far as what tires to run I have 285/70/17 Nitto Terra Grapplers on my truck and like them very well. they're not too noisy on the highway and have a great grip in snow. I bought them on an ebay store: Home - Discount Tire Direct for $798 for the set of four. so far been very happy with them.
