Question Tire Size Help

Just put some 285/70/17 tires on my truck about 2 months ago and they are nice but not big enough. I have a 2004 F150 Fx4 with the 2.5 in daystar level kit. Question is will a 315/70/17 fit on my truck? The specs at BFG say that the tire is a 34.5 in tire. Thanks for everyones help...

Tire Size

I have the same Daystar leveling kit on my 04 Lariate Supercab 4x4. Just had 305/70/17 Wrangler MT/R's mounted on Ealgle 187 17x9 today. Had to do a little trimming to the back of the fender well and the stock running boards and it is still close for comfort. Looks Great though. I would be afraid of the 315's.

315's won't fit, I have the same set up as Judithgap. You would need a 4 inch lift to fit them.

That definatly has the "stuffed" look. Looks good but how bad does the front rub when turning?

It barely rubs at full lock left turn, the tire tread edge just polishes the sway bar. No problems at all offroad.

Industrialjunk,

I didn't think they would fit without a lift. It would be even closer fit with a set of mudders on there for sure. I know my tires polished the arms without the leveling kit.

Depends on the wheel, I see you have 17/9's mine are 17/7's alot of the aftermarket wheels won't let you fit 315's without a lift.
