First of all thanks a lot numberdummy you are correct about the custom. I just went out and look at all my pics and on the glove box and the outside does have "CUSTOM"
So if im going with what you said about the costom the lights are correct for this truck made 10/77. So you think the tank was added to this cab?
The vin on the cab (door) and the frame match and with it being a custom the front end is correct. The bed and the cab do match as far as original paint. under the red (bad repaint) is the metalic brown.
What do you all think??
I am not sure what you had posted before but sounds like someone may have put an earlier cab on that truck and just put the correct vin tag on the older cab. What model is it F150 or 250. My 77F150 has a build date of 02/77 still early enough to be a 77. Hey also where did you find the vin on the frame I have searched for mine and was never successful in finding it.
thanks guys for the information. Im kinda new to this so sorry about posting twice about the same thing with the up date. I posted earlier about this under 78 questions/help.
I found the vin on the frame on the right rail after the shock tower on the top.
I was thinking maybe the cab was swaped out and the door retained also but the original paint is the same cab, doors, hood, every thing.
Your right about NumberDummy the man knows his stuff.
Is it possible someone ordered this truck like this???
I would love to post pics, some one tell me how. I can not seam to get it to work.
