Adding Cruise Control... HELP!
I need help guys... I am heading out tonight in search of a cruise control for my 88 F-250 4.9 inline 5spd. Since I don't have it on mine so I don't even know what to look for! I have done some reading so I know there is electric and vacuume systems and I believe that mine would origionally come with a vacuume type. There is a guy I know with a 5-10 old fords I plan to pull the parts I need for free. Think I will end up with a vacuume just because of the trucks he has available to me. I will probably also pull a tilt steering column if I can find one. Well obviously I will get the steering wheel with the controls but...
1.) what do I need from under the hood and where are the parts located?
2.) What do i need from in the cabin besides the wheel?
I read the other cruise control forumns but they didn't say much in detail about installation, parts needed, problems I might encounter... Also how hard is it to pull a tilt steering column?
