tilt/steering crossover
i just bought a 77 ford f150 ranger that had a standard steering column. the guy swapped out that steering column with one that had tilt and cruise. now the horn honks when you push the off button and i don't know what all is needed, if it is possible, to make the cruise work. all help and additional sites would be greatly appreciated.

Welcome to FTE! It's a great source of information and expertise. There is quite a bit more required for cruise control than just the column. Wiring and different speedo cable, sensors, carb linkage and I don't know what all else (Someone on this board will know) If your truck doesn't have this stuff - which sounds like the case since it had a regular column - I think it will be quite a bit of work. Not impossible, but not easy. Good luck.
