Have you seen a Dodge lately? I threw up the last time I seen one in my rear-view after I just ate Taco Bell. Jeez.
The older Dodge trucks were good trucks. They still didn't hold up well, but the motors were good.
Still, a baseline F-150 with the 300 will eat a baseline Ram with the 318 any day (carb to carb).
Chevy doesn't make a bad truck, neither does Dodge. From what I see though, nothing stands up like a Ford does.
Go ask Ole' Betsy how she's holding up.
i like dodge's older stuff. fragged transmissions was there biggest problems, and they lost alot of power through their trannys. ill take a ford over anything anyday though. i wouldnt even consider a chevy.
ole betsy and raven are some sexy trucks. the reg cab shortbed thing is growing on me.

Dodge has made some good motors. The slant six and 318 come to mind. I don't know anything about their transmissions. I have heard their newer stuff is really pathetic (aimed at the transmissions). We used to own a Ram Charger with a 318 with over 200,000 miles (I think. Been many years ago).
Thanks for complimenting my truggy. I can't help but grin every time someone compliments my truck. I have a real soft spot for my truck.
I wouldn't shy away from an older Chebby with the 4.3. Those are good motors, they last a while.
-shrug- I just can't help but think Ford makes the best looking trucks out there. They look good, hold up well, and on average are good work horses. Granted a lot of the trucks (like mine) were set up for cruising, but you don't buy a cruiser for work anyway.
Funny, I shouldn't have told you to ask how ole' betsy was holding up. She's talking to me, and not in a good way.
