Spicer is basically the best there is, and in my 2001, the originals said "Spicer" on the end caps.

Be warned, the stockers do NOT want to come out. When I replace a u-joint, I press the end cap in until the spider won't move anymore, and the other cap should fall out. Not so with the stocker, at least on my truck. The spider wouldn't move far enough to push the cap out.

I actually had to cut the spider in half.

I used to use a big pair of vice grips on those caps that won't come all the way out.

I used vice-grips, vice, heat, you name it, it would not come out.

There was so little clearance I had to work with, I had to cut the spider.

it's amazing how many car part stores have no clue what U joint you need. I even had a guy a NAPA say i had a cv axle as part of my rear 2 pc drive shaft.....clueless!

anyway, have any feedback on the spicer with a grease zerk or the spicer high performance forged u joint (no zerk)

The solid u-joint is stronger without the grease holes drilled in it - but are you running a diesel on 'roids or a blown/nitrous gasser?

If not, get the nice dependable GREASEABLE joint.
