door chime delete - aftermath?
I have a 2003 f-350 diesel and a 2006 f-350 gas, both I have taken the key in sensor and wire off the ignition switch and cut it off, so the chime quit when the door was open. Are there side affects to this? I have run them for years like this and its fine, but now i got a free remote start for the o6, how will no key sensor affect this? also, the dealer was talking about theft mode, what is this? Thanks

No clue about the remote start. But on mine the drivers door will unlock automatically whenever any door is open, I have to shut both doors then lock it with the key/remote/keypad. If I hit the lock switch and shut the door, it pops back unlocked. 30,000 miles and no issues.
