Works with ANY EFI engine and it is low-cost.

Funny you should mention that as I was looking at this thismorning, looks very interesting and a much cheaper way to get what I want.

I will be certain to let you all know how I go.

Would be very handy for those that are interested in chassis swaps into differant models.

Cheers Ben

I used one a couple of years ago on a ls1 we put in a 1963 Ford Cortina (escort). It wasn't the simplest thing to use but after the controls are understood, its a breeze.

It does look petty good, I have spent hours reading over thir manuals.

They claim to be able to run up to a 16 cylinder, yet I can only find a sequential system for up to 8 cylinders?

I fired off an email earlier today to ask what I will need for my system and if it can be supported.

If not, link ECU's did reply that their ECU can do al that I want, and it's a lot cheaper than the Motec M800.

Thanks for the link, some cheap parts there and some real good reading on tuning.

Ok, I will post up some info and where I think I ma heading with this conversion.

I have had a very steep learning curve of engine management, I have had industrial engine tuning experience, but this stuff is a differant kettle of fish!

I was very sweet on the Megasquirt system, very cheap and I love the idea of "I built this whole car, even the ECU" but the system is not well suited to teh V10. It will work, and only costs around $500, but it will have to fire on waste spark and batch fire the injectors in sets of 5, so effeciency and tuning capability seems to be not much better than a Central Point INjection system, which is only one peg above a carby, so reluctantly I looked for another way.

I found 3 systems that run the V10 the way it should, sequential injection and non waste spark, all of them were top line systtems, and one of them required two joined ECU's, end results were going to be all over $5,000AU when it was all tuned and complete, which in my book was a bit much given what I paid for the motor.

I did find a Australain producer called EMS (their web site is not functioning), they have a couple of systems and their mid range is a good comprimise.

For $2695AU I will get everything I need with the exception of a wide band O2, they say all my sensors will work aswell as my trigger wheel. It comes with a harness but I think I will still need to track down a stock engine harness for the connectors.

The system is not perfect, but close enough. All waste spark, but I can keep my coils and a semi sequential injection system, firing only 2 injectors at once, timed and pair so the "off" injection fires into the back of the inlet valve, other wise I have to pay for one of the top systems that has 12 injector drivers.

Since I don't have a 2V throttle body handy, and I am keen to revert to cable I modified my TB. This was a bit of a plunge, but I removed all the FBW (ETC) parts off the side, just leaving shaft exposed with the TPS on the other side. Cleaned up quite well. I don't have a pic just yet but will soon. I will just need to make a bracket to hold the outter cable and hold a throttle stop and it's done.

Just one other question, I am going to need to be able to adjust the TPS for tuning, yet this one does not seem to have slotted holes. WOuld I be right in thinking it's not adjustable?

hahahaha, and one more!

Does anyone know if anyone has run a form off boost through these manifolds, plastic and heat seem to not like plastic and the only ones I have found with chargers on them are the 2V's, If these 3V's can have blowers with a differant manifold, who makes them?

Cheers Ben

Hey Ben, Keep your eyes open on Ebay. I found a 2V throttle body, wiring harness and the part which connects the throttle body to the intake manifold for $5.00 plus $15.00 shipping. Just be patient. The deal will come along.

If you find what you want but the seller will not ship to your address you can use my address and I will ship it to you. Of course you will have to pay for the shipping. I would send it as a gift if you would like.
