you can potentially fry your PCM.
I disconnected both batteries just to be safe.

When you out your key in the ignisiton, it actually does activate some things. Any "charge" or work that your PCM is doing when you unplug it or plug it back in can cause it to fry.

Well it's a good thing that I kept my key out of the ignition. And yes, that little 10mm bolt on the harness is a pain in the @$$!

The keys in the ignition is important for sure. The battery being disconnected is not an issue. I and several of us have taken the PCM out multiple times with Jody present and the batteries still hooked up. It isn't a problem at all.
