Just out of curiosity, what happens if the keys ARE in the ignition???
When you out your key in the ignisiton, it actually does activate some things. Any "charge" or work that your PCM is doing when you unplug it or plug it back in can cause it to fry.
The keys in the ignition is important for sure. The battery being disconnected is not an issue. I and several of us have taken the PCM out multiple times with Jody present and the batteries still hooked up. It isn't a problem at all.
what have you guys heard about a ts performance chip. we use them on a couple tractors and our combine but i was just wondering what kind of numbers i could get out of a 7.3
