DP, Tony or Power Hungry are all worth it from what I see on the forum. I chose DP because I got it when it was on special. I love it. The power is there. Definitely a lot more noticeable than my old SC tuner...
It basically comes down to custom tuning vs. off the shelf (1 size fits all) tuning. At least thats the way I look at it!
Keeping it under 2000 RPMs or about 70mph (for me) is the magic spot. Last fill up was yesterday for me and I put 16 gallons in on 287 miles. Most of that was city driving and all Saturday was towing a tandem axle trailer 45 miles. Mileage wise was right at 18 for the most part. I drive in 80 econ all the time and towed in 60 tow yesterday. The trailer wasnt loaded heavily but it was decent mileage.
I think Ill be staying around the 17.9 or so for a lil while now Ive gotten used to the extra power and dont dog it anymore. I do drive like a granny most of the time anyways haha
Running Schaeffers oil and fuel treatment, 80E on the DP Tuner and running about 60-65 I got 21.9 one day last week of pure hwy driving usually see about 18-19.
All I can say is go for it. I had a superchips programmer and the DP absolutely blows it away hands down. The power is amazing. Its a little different getting used to the power as the skinny pedal gets a little touchy at first. Rest assured your milage will drop some because you will have your foot in it alot at first. lol
X2 on getting with Clay @ Riff Raff he is top notch and will get you everything you need and will answer all questions spot on. He happened to be close to my town for a meeting and delivered my DP tuner and stuck around while I installed it then we took it for a ride.
After that I was the newest member of the PERMAGRIN club. I think the hardest part of installing the DP was getting that little bolt undone that holds the electrical connector on the back of the computer.
I know we have been over this a million times, but what is the exact location of the PCM. I know they are different on some of the years, and I need to get in there and get my number to Clay. I feel like an idiot for asking this again...

To the left and behind of the brake pedal. About a 10x8 inch silver metal box with a black plastic "frame" around it being held in with 2 - 7mm bolts on the end nearest the seat. Then there is the 10mm bolt holding the harness to it under the hood at the firewall. Disconnect the harness under the hood, then remove the two bolts inside, take the end towards the seat and move it towards the brake pedal about 2 inches then you can gently wiggle it back and forth as you pull and it will come right out.
**Psssttt....I ordered mine on Friday...HA! I GET MINE FIRST!!!!**
