hello all. I installed an equis 3 guage set on my 75 F250 460ci about a month ago. the water temp and oil are mechanical and the volt meter is fed through a key on source at the fuse box. they all have worked flawlesly until today. I took my daughter to the park today and noticed my temp guage is on like 140 deg. I have a 180 thermastat wich is brand new. the guage was working perfectly before I have not a clue what could be wrong. the tubing is run through the firewall with a rubber grommet, I have checked for severe bends, twists, and can fine nothing wrong with my install. could that sending unit that goes into the intake be bad already? I figured these would last for years. thank you.
I have a autometer mech. temp gauge that was sticking on me right after I put it in. I just left it alone and after about a week it started working ok and been fine since. Not sure if that would work for you though.
so then if that threaded adapter is toast. will i have to be that whole section of tubing with the sending unit on it. and do they sell that piece. thanks
