Heater question.

I have a 79 F-150 Custom. My heater doesn't blow any hot air just cool air even after driving it around for ofer an hour. My engine temp. guage never even gets to normal, it stays just a little past C. I know the guage works because it goes all the way down when I shut off the truck. What could be wrong with the heater?

Heater question.

[font color=red size=3]That's what I would check first too. Thermostats are cheap and easy to change. About $15 and 1/2 hour of work.

Heater question.

you could check to see if your heater core is blocked up, and check the gauge, and the sending unit, could be messed up.

Heater question.

I changed the thermostat (original 180) with a 192. I tested the old one and it was fine. I think the 192 fixed the problem but I am not sure, I couldn't drive it around and let it warmup for long because I had things to do. My truck feels like it has a little more power though.

Heater question.

I've had a heater core that we tried to flush out. Water would flow one way but not the other so we just swapped hoses and he had heat.
